416 - VR Analytics That Support Your Learning Goals

March 31, 2020
The Rosen Centre
Virtual Reality

Virtual reality provides unprecedented ability to gather data. But what data should we gather? How do we tie that data to learning? And how do we use all this potential data to drive better learning and prove ROI for our VR training investments?

In this session, you’ll take a deep dive into the VR analytics that support your learning goals. By using VR's unique ability to introduce learning scaffolding, and tying that scaffolding to analytics, we’re able to manage learning experiences and engage learners much more appropriately. Throughout this session you’ll find out more about how specifically VR can help scaffolding, and what ways you can use that scaffolding to connect to the results you’re aiming for. You’ll also take a closer look at how exactly actions and events can be tracked in VR and be introduced to frameworks that can help you target what actions and events to track to show movement towards achieving learning goals.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How VR's capabilities help scaffolding
  • How analytics can connect this scaffolding to results
  • How actions & events get tracked in VR
  • About frameworks for what actions and events to track
  • About learning theories that are particularly relevant to VR
